What are the different types of pain patches?

Not as strong as Duragesic, not sure on the spelling.
heres my problem

I have severe Patella Chondromalacia, for about 5 years, and I am only 16 years old.
I have had 6 knee surgeries, I have gone to physical therapy, religiously, I have been on tons of medicines, I have tried pain management, natural rememdies, and I am developing arthritis in my knees now.
Do you have any suggestions on medicines or doctors in the New York, Pennsylvania or Ohio area.
Any suggestions
Because what I have been doing is not working.
My knee is structural okay for now, but I have severe pain.

Vicodin, and Tylenol with Codeiene do not help me, but a Duragesic patch is very strong.
Are there other pain patches that can be used, that arent as strong, and will they even help me, if pills dont?
I have tried almost any alternative remedy I can think of.
I am to the point where I need medication. Although I dont want to be on medication, I have to.
I am going to talk to my doctor about this.

What is the best sleeping position when you have lower back pain?

Hello, there. You know how sometimes all the pain from the day collects when you tuck in bed ready to sleep. Sometimes, I have lower back pain as I lay in bed. What is the best position to sleep? Should i sleep on my back with my back straight? Should I sleep on my side? Or should I sleep on the tummy?

Is it normal to have occasional pain in a scar from an operation?

I had a salpingectomy (surgical removal of a fallopian tube) a little over a year ago. I have a scar in my bikini area as well as in my belly button. Occasionally, I feel pain in the scars. It only lasts a few hours and the pain is not unbearable, but is this normal? My cousin had a C-section and she says she occassionally feels pain in her scar too.

What causes lower back pain in the morning?

I wake up every morning with lower back pain which it goes away by mid day. Its been more then a week. I had this problem in the past, but it went away, now is back. How do I know if its my mattress? My husband doesn’t get any pain from sleeping in the mattress.
What should I do? I went to see a Chiropractor and all he did was to pop my back.

How do I know if the pain in my ear is from an ear infection?

I have an ear infection in my left ear, which hurts pretty bad. I am about to go to the store to pick up drops for it. In my right ear, I have pain too, but the pain is not coming from inside, it is only the outside of the ear, which is very weird. I can put my finger on the exact spot it hurts, so I would think its a pimple or something. I do not see anything, though. However, it is not just that particular spot that hurts, that is just the part that hurts the most. It is surrounding that area too. I do not feel any pain coming from the inside of this ear, just the part right on top of the earlobe. Any ideas what this could be?

How can I relieve pain during my periods?

I have very leaky periods that last for plenty days ( I am not so lucky, am I) And it hurts. I know periods are supposed to be uncomfortable but mine hurt horribly. Almost all I can think about is the pain.

Does anyone know a way to relieve the pain or make my periods smaller?

I’ve been taking Motrin which works a little but I’ve herd having too much can be bad for you. Thank you to anyone who answered!

Is it normal to feel no pain after a wisdom tooth is removed?

It was weird for the first day. But that was it, no pain after that. I have a good pain resistance anyway and really fast healing.

Is this normal do? Everybody told me the pain would be dire.
Oh thanks. I am going to get the other one removed in just over a week.

Suppose I am lucky, have no pain.

Luck of the Irish I suppose.
Well my dentist is very good as well. And he said it came off no problem so that with factor I have good pain resistance is why so, I suppose. i just did not see the point in booking an appointment about it, when I am going back in just over a week anyway.

What is causing shin pain and what can I do for it?

I stand 8 hours a day at work, and I have for 9 years. Recently, I began having pain in my shin, Tibialis Anterior. I have searched online and I can’t get a reason for it or how to rid myself of the pain. It is extremely painful when I put weight on it and sometimes I feel as though I will fall down.
I am already taking Tramadol for an arthritic hip.

What would cause severe pain in the left armpit?

The pain feels as though it is very deep in between my armpit and left breast and is even more excruciating if I sneeze or move a certain way. Even though I have had the odd twinge in this area before, the pain came on very suddenly (I noticed it when I started pegging out my washing this morning not long after getting out of bed). There are no lumps present in the area. Thankyou.
